BEACON MEMBERS' PORTAL
Beacon is the name of the online membership database which Harrow u3a uses. If you are a current member of Harrow u3a, you can use Beacon to update your personal details.
To open the Beacon portal, follow the link at the bottom of this page and enter your current details exactly as we have them on the database. Please note: Forename & Surname are case sensitive. You need to put a space before the last number in the postcode eg. HA5 4EG. If what you enter does not match what we have, it all blanks out and you have to start again – sorry! If you’re not sure what details to put in, you can contact the membership secretary here or look back at the email we sent to confirm them.
When you reach the Update Personal Details screen, you can see your information, and change it if necessary. If you choose to include an Emergency contact, please make sure that you have checked with that person that they consent to us storing their name and phone number, and passing it on to relevant group leaders if necessary. We are not using the Security Question field, so please do not enter anything there.
A photo is optional; it will appear on your membership card if you put one here.
Finally, click Update Personal Details. Beacon will then send you an email confirming your changes. Please note, if you changed your email address, this message will come to your old address, for security reasons.
If you ever get an email like that when you didn’t use the Members’ Portal, please us this contact form to contact the membership secretary as soon as possible.
