Study Groups
Harrow U3A was started by a handful of enthusiasts in June 1991. We now have more than 1,400 members, who, for the cost of a modest annual subscription, can participate in any number of almost 90 daytime study or activity groups. The courses and activities embrace academic as well as non-academic subjects, which include the following random list
Educational Trips at Home and Abroad
Portrait Drawing and Painting
Current Affairs Discussions
Water-Colour Painting
Poetry Appreciation
Music Appreciation
Social Psychology
Art Gallery Visits
Country Walking
Play-Reading
Needle Craft
Art History
Languages
Computing
Additional study groups are formed almost every
term, depending essentially on the willingness of existing or new
members to start another group.
We hold general MONTHLY MEETINGS in local venues, with talks by
invited guest speakers on a wide range of topics. and subjects. All
members are welcome. Meetings start at 10.30 am sharp, on the last
THURSDAY of the month, except July, August and December.
