Art and Craft Group
Our Art & Craft Group covers a variety of activities, including card making, knitting, glass painting, quilting, pottery, mosaics, toy making, repousse, plus many more.
We do have some vacancies and are a very friendly, informal group and would welcome anyone wanting to join us.

Knitting and Crochet for Fun
This is an introduction to simple methods of pattern making, design, knit and construction and will interest anyone wishing to improve their basic knitting skills. Regular help and encouragement is given to students who have purchased patterns and yarn and want to complete these during the session or who wish to make their own original items.
Group Leader – Jackie Jacobs.
This group meets fortnightly. Members can embroider whatever they choose. Those who wish to do so, can learn more stitches or different styles of embroidery to encompass English surface embroidery, Hardanger, Florentine, free form and others.
Group Leader - Penelope (Penny) Sherwood.
We are a welcoming group of people interested in patchwork. Some are experienced and others complete beginners. At the moment our meetings have to be on Zoom; we can still share enthusiastic encouragement, information & advice, and some of us are able to work on our projects. There is also plenty of time for general chat. We meet on Zoom every first Thursday of the month starting at 10.30 a m; if you would like to try this group, please contact Kathy Westhead on email@example.com
Although there has been an intention for some time to start a Photography group, this has not come to fruition because of coronavirus restrictions. When we are able to start, hopefully after Easter 2021, meetings will be held at my home in Hatch End. There is no pre-conceived idea of what form this should take, but it will mix all levels of experience from beginners to experienced, and we will all learn from each other. It will include photo techniques, composition, computer processing and printing and whatever the group members want to learn or improve. Each topic would be led by a person or group members with particular skills or interests. We would also show each other examples of our photographs, but I am determined that this, and the whole ethos of the group, would be non-competitive. These options and many other aspects are open for discussion. If you are interested in joining a Photography group, please contact me and give me your ideas.
